Event Description

Join us every second Thursday to connect with art through cocktails, conversations, and creativity. This month, learn all about legendary Fort Worth artists Scott and Stuart Gentling and see if you can imitate their watercolor style.

Schedule

5–7 p.m.

Enjoy drinks and live music by the Debbie Brooks Chamber Ensemble inspired by the Gentling brothers’ portraits of composers.

Carter members get a complimentary drink!

5–8 p.m.

Drop by the Lounge to create your own watercolor painting inspired by Imagined Realism, led by Carter Community Artist Brenda Ciardiello. Supplies are limited to the first 200 people.

6–7 p.m.

Learn all about the Gentlings’ to-scale model of an Aztec temple and more. Join pre-Columbian art expert Adam Herring, the Emily Rich Summers Endowed Professor in Art History at Southern Methodist University, in the galleries for this fascinating tour.

7–8 p.m.

If you’re into French fashion, you won’t want to miss this historical tour of frocks and frills. Join Annette Becker, the director of the Texas Fashion Collection at the University of North Texas, in the galleries to learn more about the Gentlings’ fashion collection.
