Event Description

Join us every second Thursday to connect with art through cocktails, conversations, and creativity. This month, delve into artist James Prosek’s depictions of the untamed beauty of the Texas landscape and learn from experts about what you can do to protect wildlife diversity.

5–8 p.m.

Enjoy drinks for purchase in the Atrium, including a specialty botanical-themed cocktail. Carter members get one complimentary drink! Lite bites are available for purchase at the Carter’s Food Cart.

Trek over to explore the exhibition Trespassers: James Prosek and the Texas Prairie, and then join us to create a watercolor field notebook to collect and document your adventures. Led by Carter Community Artist Colleen Borsh. Supplies limited to the first 200 people.

Flip through the pages of Prosek’s books in our Library and learn more about the artist’s work and past projects

6–7:30 p.m.

Join us for a live recording of the podcast Mountain & Prairie. Ed Roberson, the host of the podcast, will have a conversation with artist James Prosek and organizing curator Spencer Wigmore about the exhibition Trespassers: James Prosek and the Texas Prairie. Seating for the talk is first come, first served.
