The Paper Guild

The Paper Guild was created to help the Carter acquire important nineteenth- and twentieth-century American works on paper. Led by Jane Myers, the museum’s senior curator of prints and drawings, the group reviews potential acquisitions and applies most of its annual membership dues to the purchase of works for the museum’s collection.

$1,000 Per Person or Family Per Year

Members of the Paper Guild are automatically entitled to general museum benefits at the Sustainer level.

Benefits are valued at $135.

Beyond providing support for acquisitions, Paper Guild members come together periodically throughout each year to share their passion for works on paper. The group gathers to discuss trends in the marketplace, review potential acquisitions, visit galleries and art fairs, and meet with artists and dealers. In the process, group members exchange ideas about works on paper and gain advice from museum staff on building and preserving their own collections.
