Description
Typed letter signed. Apologizes for being unable to write to her because he did not get her address. Says he thought of her frequently and the cakes she brought at Christmastime which he and O’Keefe enjoyed and the book she gave him. Tells her he is sorry to have missed her recent visit due to illness. Asks if she knows how close Steichen was to him for years. Says they worked together as a team for nearly 15 years. Says Steichen “is one of the roots of myself. And I may be one of the roots of Steichen.”
