u.l. printed: Hermit Trail, the new way to the heart of the \ Canyon, is about nine miles west of El Tovar. It \ is a trail of easy grades and long zig zags, and four \ feet wide. Diverging from it on the plateau is the \ old Tonto Trail, connecting with Bright Angel, \ Grand View and other Canyon trails to the river.
