Description
Autograph letter signed. Thanks Nell for the red Valentine’s apron she sent. Says she’s been wondering if everything is all right with Nell. Says she hasn’t heard from Win [her sister, Virginia] and she is anxious to hear what Bill will do and that Bet [her sister, Elizabeth] never writes. Expresses her hope that she [Bet] and John are helping to make Nell happy. Wishes they all lived very near. Reports that she has read a book that gave her “a lump in her throat,” Your Kids and Mine by Joe E. Brown and recommends it to Nell. Says Robbie is fine and is a comfort to her. He is talking, and looks like Mayo, Bet and her [Babs]. Says she is blue today and just wants the war to end and Mayo to come home. Says she is well and doesn’t even have croup.
