[printed]: BRIGADE OF UNITED STATES SAILORS, \ Formed by the Sailors taken from the various Men-of-War in the Harbor of New York, making a force Three Thousand strong. \ The Sailors in this picture carried small guns, and made a stirring scene, and enabled our citizens for the first time to understand that our Naval Com- \ manders may land United States Sailors and Marines, and fight pitched battles as sucessfully as Regular Army soldiers do, when necessity requires and for- \ eign countries.
