l.c. [printed]: THE CATAFALQUE, \ Passing A.T. Stewart's Great Iron Block, corner Tenth Street and Broadway. \ The masses packed on elevated seats, with the crushing throng on the pavements below and far back up East Tenth Street, eager to see the last \ of the dead patriot, make a remarkable picture for all time. This Instantaneous View of the thousands of human faces is wonderful in \ its clear details, and will afford the reader hours of pleasure in closely scanning the faces, eyes and feet of the multitude so \ clearly depicted here* in an instant's time by one of our artists, perched high above the throng at a fourth-story \ window opposite, looking straight down upon the most marvelous scene ever witnessed in the world. \ *Among others, note the pair of tiny feet, as if over the head of the coffin, when in reality forty feet away. \ 149
