  • Description

    Typed letter signed. Recounts telling his children they were not going to Europe. Says the boys couldn’t care less, but it was very important to Susan who wants to attend the Fontainebleau Conservatory there to study music and wanted to see it first. Says if he can’t go next summer, he will send Susan and her mother so she can begin her summer studies. Tells that he caught his son Gregory smoking in the store room and told him of the time he smoked a whole packet of cigarettes in a cave and got so sick he had to tell his mother he had sunstroke. He told Gregory that as a parent he had to do all he could to keep him from smoking because it was so dangerous and Gregory agreed to wait until he was an adult to decide.
