Description
Typed letter signed. Assures Dorr that she has an “affective nature” that produces beauty. Says she is an artist, “a very great one.” Tells her of a handmade quilt they received from the mother of Clyde Kennard [Civil Rights pioneer and martyr who worked to desegregate higher education in Mississippi] who was almost sightless, but wanted his sons to have it because Griffin had tried to save her son. She also sent him words of encouragement when he became immobile.
