u.l. to l.c. in ink: Indian [illeg.] \ May-29-23. \ Dearest Mrs. Trester, \ Please forgive me for waiting so long \ to knowlege [sic] your nice \ pattern. - thank you \ ever so much - in \ this little postal - and \ will promise you a \ nice long letter just as \ soon as the rush is \ over. mother also received \ -one flowers. \ John had wonderful \ luck with sheep- \ we are going to town this eve \ the first time in a long \ while. Please write in \ a long letter and tell \ me a bout [sic] Mr. T and your \ self.

u.l. printed: LAGUNA INDIAN PUEBLO, NEW MEXICO. \ Laguna is a pueblo on the main ocean to ocean highway, \ about 65 miles west of Albuquerque. Its inhabitants are of \ the Keresan Tribe. The old pueblo of Laguna is being slowly \ abandoned, as the Indians are founding new, small villages \ nearer their ranches. The old tribal organization still centers \ in the old pueblo, however, the governor of Lagunabeing gov- \ ernor of all the newer pueblos.
