u.l. printed: Within a radius of six square miles, which \ comprises the Arches National Monument, \ there are 72 arches and numberless towers, \ steeples, windows, etc. These grotesque fig- \ ures have been cut into the red sandstone by \ the erosion of wind and storms of the past \ ages. With a little imagination one can dis- \ cover various figures and heads of animals \ in this area. Note the large head just inside \ this arch.
