    u.l. to u.r. printed on paper label: Ta-shun-ka ko-ki-pa-pi chi-k'a-la, Tashunka kokipapi, \ Jr. The Younger Tashunka kokipapi, as distin- \ guished from No. 22, Tashunke kokipapi wichakhcha, \ the Elder Tashunka kokipapi. This "One Whose- \ Horse is-feared" took the side of the United \ States during the troubles at Pine Ridge Agency \ when Royer was agent. No. 32 was taken perhaps \ 10 or 12 years ago. \ [in graphite] 847.

    c. to l.c. in graphite: In 1875 Gen'l Terry & commission treating \ for the Black hills - would have about [crossed out] been \ killed by Little bad man [following added above] who with about 10 000 hostiles - had arrange in \ such a way that a man should be behind \ each soldier to kill him at a certain \ signal. \ This Indian said that anyone attempting to \ harm the commission would have to deal \ with him, and with his tribe [crossed out] band thus putting \ down the massacre. \ Neg No. 3245-7
