u.l. printed: One of the incidents to be remembered on the \ transcontinental journey is the crossing of Raton \ Pass, between Trinidad, Colorado, and Raton, \ New Mexico. The train is drawn by two, and \ sometimes three engines, to the mouth of Raton \ Tunnel at the summit of the Pass, more than sev- \ en thousand feet above sea level. The vistas of \ mountain scenery on either side lend an unusual \ interest to crossing this range of the Rocky Mount- \ ains.
