Event Description

Grab a drink and join us as we read The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver. Barbara Kingsolver takes us on an epic journey from the Mexico City of artists Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo to the America of Pearl Harbor, FDR, and J. Edgar Hoover. The Lacuna is a poignant story of a man pulled between two nations as they invent their modern identities. Before we dive into discussion, Carter curator Michaela Haffner will lead a tour of the exhibition Rufino Tamayo: Innovation and Experimentation.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request. Please send us an email for more information.
