Event Description
Free food. Free art. Free tunes.
Calling all DFW college students! Enjoy an exclusive evening with free food and tunes for college and graduate students. Listen to music in the galleries, make some art, and get inspired by the Carter’s exhibition The World Outside: Louise Nevelson at Midcentury.
Schedule
5–8 p.m.
Enjoy free savory snacks, sweet treats, and something to drink (nonalcoholic drinks available as well as select beer and wine for those who are 21 or older) while you chill out and listen to electric beats with DJ duo Yokyo.
Pick up a themed Carter Crossword Puzzle and explore the galleries to discover the answers. All correctly completed crossword puzzles will get a prize from the Info Desk! Prizes are limited to the first 200 people.
Discover some 17th- and 18th-century maps from our Archives, along with some other fascinating books from our Library. Chat with Carter staff to learn about the Archives and Library spaces in the Museum and how students can use them.
After you’ve explored the maps in the Library, head upstairs to The Lounge and make a unique work of art with Carter Community Artist Adam Fung. Supplies limited to the first 200 people.
6–6:45 p.m.
Join Carter curator Shirley Reece-Hughes for a tour of the exhibition The World Outside: Louise Nevelson at Midcentury.
