Reception in the Atrium; Talk in the Library

Event Description

Paper Forum members are invited to join Boston-based artist Yu-Wen Wu and Carter curator Michaela Haffner for a conversation focusing on Wu's artistic process. In her interdisciplinary practice, Wu draws on her experience of emigrating from Taipei, Taiwan, to the U.S. as a young child exploring themes of migration, memory, identity, and assimilation in her art.

The acquisition of Wu’s large-scale work on paper, Accumulation of Dreams VII, is an important addition to the Carter’s collection. The artwork will be on view for the first time since its acquisition in 2023.
