Event Description

The photobook has played an important role in the history of photography. From Henry Talbot's Pencil of Nature to Robert Frank's The Americans and Susan Meiselas' Nicaragua, photobooks have democratized lens-based imagery and launched the careers of some of the most influential photographers in the United States.

Join us for a conversation about the history, publishing, and collecting of photobooks. The event will feature Chris Pichler, founder and publisher of Nazraeli Press, and the Carter’s Scott R. Davis, Head of Research Library, and Will Gillham, Editor and Publisher. The event will be moderated by María Beatriz H. Carrión, Assistant Curator of Photographs.

Free for Photo Forum members. RSVP by email or call 817.989.5060 by April 22. Not a member of the Photo Forum? Join today!
