Come break the rules and say “yes!” to new art experiences at the Carter’s Second Thursdays! Each month you’ll find something different than the last—mingle with fellow art lovers, make art, and meet visiting artists, sometimes with live music and always with themed cocktails inspired by the Carter’s collection.

This month, invite your crush, your crew, or come alone and meet someone new for a night themed around the many types of love in our lives.

Schedule

5–8 p.m.

Participate in our annual Hearts for Art campaign and vote for your favorite artwork on view.

Relax and add some color to coloring sheets inspired by artworks in the Carter’s collection.

Listen to live music by Aautumn, who will perform a variety of love-inspired songs.

Find out what your future holds regarding love with fortune teller Laura E. West.

Enjoy drinks for purchase, including a specialty Cupid’s Kiss cocktail. Carter members get one complimentary drink! If you become a member this evening you’ll get an extra treat! Lite bites are available for purchase at the Carter’s Food Cart.

Create your own “wild about you” felt pin inspired by animals in artworks on view with Carter Community Artist Colleen Borsh. Supplies limited to the first 200 people.

Explore the Museum Shop for great Valentine’s Day gift ideas. The Shop will be offering 20% off merchandise (some exclusions may apply), in-store samples of sweet treats, and handmade gifts for sale from local vendors!

6–6:30 p.m.

Play the game “Bed, Wed, or Behead” with a Carter staff member and make your case about which artworks you love, like, or hate.

6:30–7:30 p.m.

Join a Carter docent on a tour of artworks on view that highlight many types of love.
