Event Description
Canceled due to weather, check back for the rescheduled date in spring 2024.
Join us every second Thursday to connect with art through cocktails, conversations, and creativity. This month, bring your best friend (pup or person) for an evening of PAWsome activities on our Plaza crafted with your canine in mind.
Schedule
5–8 p.m.
Enjoy drinks on our Plaza. Carter members get one complimentary drink! Food will be available for purchase from Luckey G’s Bistro Food Truck and The Beignet Bus.
Create an impression of your pup’s paw print and decorate it to represent their personality. Led by Carter Community Artist Olivia Garcia-Hassell. Supplies limited to the first 200 people.
6–6:30 p.m.
Join Carter curator Maggie Adler for a tour of the outdoor sculpture The Tipping Point: Echoes of Extinction by Elizabeth Turk.
6:30–8 p.m.
On our Plaza, watch Best in Show (2000), a mockumentary comedy film co-written by Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy and directed by Guest. The film follows five people as they travel to and compete in the fictional Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show. Starring Christopher Guest, Parker Posey, Michael Hitchcock, Eugene Levy, and Catherine O'Hara. Rated PG-13.
Only service animals are permitted in the Museum’s building.
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.
