Event Details
Event Date
Event Description
Join us from your home every Wednesday morning in July for weekly storytime in connection with an artwork in the Carter’s collection. After the story, we’ll walk you through a fun art project using art materials you already have at home.
This week we will focus on the theme “curiosity” by reading A Life Made by Hand by Andrea D’Aquino in connection with Untitled (S.453, Hanging, Three-Lobed, Three-Layered Continuous Form Within a Form) created by Ruth Asawa. After the story, we’ll make nature-inspired, three-dimensional sculptures using paper chains. You’ll need the following supplies:
- Any type of paper (computer paper, colored paper, newspaper)
- Scissors
- Tape
Free. Reservations are not required. Virtual Art Tales will take place on the Carter’s Facebook Live.
