September 25, 2013 Amon Carter Museum of American Art Announces New Assistant Curator
Fort Worth, TX, September 25, 2013—The Amon Carter Museum of American Art is pleased to announce its new assistant curator, Margaret “Maggie” Adler. Adler will work on projects relating to exhibitions and the museum’s collection of paintings, sculpture, works on paper, and photographs, including interpretation, research, acquisitions, and conservation.
“We are thrilled to have Maggie join the curatorial staff,” says Margaret Conrads, deputy director of art and research. “She brings a unique blend of talents and experiences that perfectly fit our commitments to community engagement and scholarly research. With particular knowledge of 19th-century American art, Maggie adds important depth to our team of stellar curators.”
Prior to joining the Amon Carter, Adler earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees in art history from Williams College in Massachusetts. Her work experience includes positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Williams College Museum of Art and the Addison Gallery of American Art.
The Amon Carter Museum of American Art offers outstanding exhibitions and public programs for adults and children and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. The museum’s next exhibition, Color! American Photography Transformed opens on October 5. Admission is always free.
