Carter members and their guests have the first chance to experience Richard Avedon at the Carter. Organized by the Carter, the exhibition invites viewers the 40th anniversary of Richard Avedon’s In the American West series. Richard Avedon at the Carter will include 40 works from the series alongside behind-the-scenes photographs from the artist’s six years of travel across 17 states as well as images of the Carter’s exhibition opening four decades ago.
