Event Description
Join us every second Thursday to connect with art through cocktails, conversations, and creativity. This month, discover what Carter conservators and curators learned from studying Arthur Dove’s miniature watercolor paintings and make your own.

5–8 p.m.
Listen to DJ Wild in the Streets spin some tunes and enjoy drinks and snacks available for purchase. Carter members get one complimentary drink!
Challenge your color-theory skills and make a unique work of art in this art-making challenge.
Create your own unique, small watercolor painting series inspired by the late works of Arthur Dove. Utilize a variety of paint layers and experimental techniques to create different effects and compositions. Led by Carter Community Artist Michelle Gonzales. Supplies limited to the first 200 people.
6–7 p.m.
Join Spencer Wigmore, Associate Curator of Paintings, Sculpture, and Works on Paper at the Carter, for a tour of the exhibition Arthur Dove: Miniature Laboratories.
7–8 p.m.
Join Cristiana Acerbi Ginatta, an art conservator specializing in paintings, for an overview of the conservation work on Dove’s artworks and the mysteries that were uncovered in the Carter's research. Acerbi Ginatta holds a Master's degree in the conservation of paintings from Palazzo Spinelli in Florence, Italy, and she is a Professional Associate with the American Institute for Conservation.
