Exhibition Hosts at the Carter welcome visitors to our special exhibitions by introducing them to the gallery space, pointing out artwork highlights, and answering questions.

  • The Carter is excited to present Cowboy, a re-examination of the popular mythologies surrounding the image and concept of the cowboy. The Carter invites you to become a volunteer Exhibition Host!

    Role of an Exhibition Host

    • Shifts available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from October 12, 2024, through March 23, 2025
    • Background check prior to first shift
    • Wearing a Carter t-shirt during your shift (provided to you!)

    • In-person training at the Carter led by curators—1.5 hours
    • Visitor engagement training over Zoom—1 hour
